Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
Compare IT Support (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates compare-it-support.com. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data we collect
When you submit our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), company name, location, number of staff, current IT situation, and budget range. We also collect standard analytics data including pages visited, referrer, and UTM parameters.
How we use your data
We use your information to match you with suitable IT support providers and to send you relevant quotes and follow-up communications. You can unsubscribe from any marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.
Who we share your data with
We share your enquiry details with IT support providers relevant to your requirements so they can contact you with quotes. We do not sell your data.
If you allow analytics or advertising cookies, the providers behind those cookies also receive information about your visit — Google for analytics and advertising, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising. This is limited to website usage and advert measurement data; your enquiry details are never sent to them. See “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below. If you decline those cookies, nothing is shared with them.
Data retention
We retain your data for up to 24 months from the date of your enquiry, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@compare-it-support.com.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We group ours into three types, and you choose which of them we may use when you first visit the site.
- Strictly necessary — needed to make the site work, including remembering your cookie choice. These are always on and do not need your permission, because the site cannot be delivered without them.
- Analytics — help us see how the site is used so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this. Only used if you agree.
- Advertising — used for advertising and remarketing. That means measuring whether an advert led to an enquiry, and showing our adverts to people who have visited this site before as they browse elsewhere. Only used if you agree.
Where you allow advertising cookies, the platforms we use for this are Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We may add other advertising platforms in future — any platform we use will be for the same two purposes described above, measuring adverts and remarketing, and will only ever run with your advertising consent.
Our lawful basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is used until you choose, and choosing to reject is exactly as quick as choosing to accept. Analytics consent and advertising consent are separate decisions — agreeing to one does not opt you into the other.
Changing your mind. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage. Use the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of any page, or , to bring the options back up and change or withdraw them at any time. You can also clear cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done while consent was in place.
We also send Google a signal recording your cookie choice, so Google's own tools respect it. If you refuse advertising cookies, advertising identifiers are stripped from any request made from this site.
